Malolo Island is 25 km from Nadi International Airport. An hour-long ferry ride or a 40-minute speedboat ride will take visitors to Viti Levu’s main island resort. You can also choose to fly by helicopter or seaplane, which will speed up your journey to your hotel.

The pools are sensational; one with a glass edge, allowing swimmers to see the area from underwater, and the other (dotted with islands of palm trees) has a sandy floor that rises to the beach.

The garden view bure is very spacious with comfortable beds, huge bathrooms and a private terrace with a hammock and sun loungers. Oceanfront bureas delight in the views, while two-bedroom Point Reef bureaux are good for groups.

The massive Presidential Villa is a different story, with its own infinity pool, master bedroom floor-level bathtub, separate living room/second bedroom and Jacuzzi.

The food is great: Fijian and Asian cuisine.

Located in a hidden cove on the island of Malolo, which is part of the Mamanuca archipelago, where the 2000 movie Cast Away starring Tom Hanks was filmed.
