After breakfast, check out of the resort and travel towards Kathmandu. En route, you will visit Bhaktapur, the best-preserved of the three ancient royal cities of the Kathmandu Valley, often referred to as the “City of Devotees.”
During a guided walking tour, explore its beautifully preserved, traffic-free squares, admire the famous 55-Window Palace, and discover the unique culture of the Newar people, whose traditions have blended Hindu and Buddhist heritage for centuries.
Bhaktapur is renowned for its master artisans, and you will have the opportunity to observe traditional pottery making, wood carving, and textile craftsmanship that continue to thrive today. A highlight of the visit is an exclusive pottery workshop at the city’s historic Pottery Square, where local craftsmen will introduce you to centuries-old techniques.
In the afternoon, continue to Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu. Widely regarded as a living museum of Newar architecture, the hotel showcases meticulously restored 14th-century carved wooden masterpieces and terracotta details, offering an exceptional introduction to Nepal’s rich artistic heritage.
