Description:
The camp consists of six ultra-luxurious eco-pods with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows allowing guests to enjoy spectacular views of the icy continent. Each pod features original photographs taken from the International Space Station by former commander and astronaut Terry Werts.
Echo Camp can accommodate up to 12 guests, making it ideal for an exclusive vacation. Like other White Desert camps, Echo is designed with environmental sustainability in mind and can be dismantled without a trace in the Antarctic landscape.
Camp guests can participate in a variety of activities including: fatbiking on a specially prepared 10-kilometer trail, skiing, guided snowmobile tours, Ice Climbing and rappelling down ice cliffs led by certified instructors, exploring ice tunnels and climbing nunataks.
The Echo Camp journey begins with a flight from Cape Town, South Africa, on White Desert’s private jet to Wolf’s Fang airstrip in Antarctica. The camp operates during the Southern Hemisphere summer period, from November through February, when weather conditions are most favorable for visiting.
