Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives 5*

A fantastic holiday, a resort that can be safely recommended. We are on holiday in the Maldives for the 4th time, this hotel is one of the best. Prices are high, as on other islands of the Maldives, you need to be prepared for this, otherwise go to Egypt. Accommodation: We lived in a villa on the water, freshly renovated, in some places it is only visible that the villas are not new, the floor on the terrace was outdated, somewhere the handles on the doors are rusty, but these are trifles. The villa and terrace are very spacious. The cleaning is perfect, 2 times a day. We had access to the lagoon – this is a plus, as it is a very nice bottom without stones. Food – breakfasts are simple, but you won’t be hungry. I note the delicious cereals that are made right in front of you with fruit or coconut milk, very tasty. As for restaurants, Crab Shack is very cool and worth the money, the freshest seafood and large portions, an atmospheric place) Milk lab – a special mention – cosy and very cute design, delicious milkshakes and ice cream. The spa is 5 out of 5 (only the girl needs to be taught more Russian so that she can navigate the procedures and recommend the necessary) If you have the budget, we recommend spending the night in the Bubble (a transparent ball on a separate island), these are memories for a lifetime. Very romantic)

Minuses that did not mar our holiday, but they are there:
– crows on the island, a lot:(
– service at breakfast – slowly clean the tables, a lot of staff, but work chaotically, it seems that they do not understand what to do, the consequence – do not take away empty plates, do not offer tea / coffee and so on. That is, there are a lot of waiters, but not much use.

We had a holiday in early September as a family with a child of 4,5 years old. We lived 3 days on the “villa on the water” and 4 days on the “beach villa with its own pool”. Both villas overlook their own lagoon, inside the house reef, protected from wind and waves. At first we booked HB, but on arrival we immediately paid extra for AI (not cheap, but it paid off) – in addition to minibar and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) includes dinners and lunches in themed restaurants (especially good restaurant of Japanese cuisine!). The staff are exceptionally friendly, very convenient watsapp chat system for residents (constant communication with the service team). The main restaurant has a themed dinner every night on a particular cuisine (7 day programme, then repeats). The pool bar has a hookah area on the upper open terrace. For us it was very important to have a children’s club – its own fenced territory with a pool and play areas. There are daily programmes and master classes for children. The only thing we lacked was a Russian-speaking nanny (we were told that she would be available soon). We used the spa (everything is fine), went fishing and complimentary snorkelling (along the house reef) – all liked it. Flight from Male by seaplane takes 30 mins.
