Where to begin? From the indoor pool surrounded by Greek columns or the heated outdoor pool in the garden? Just keep in mind that there is also archery, buggy riding and duck herding.

Rooms at the main hotel are individually decorated and combine traditional furnishings with modern luxuries such as iPad docking stations. The magnificent Marryat Suite, the largest in the hotel, is similar to Bertie Wooster’s suite, while the smallest Garden Rooms offer beautiful views of the park.

On the other hand, the 14 treehouse suites are decorated in a contemporary style. Built on stilts, they sit high in the canopy, with wooden private decks, wood-burning stoves and floor-to-ceiling windows. The staff will take you to the main hotel and back in electric buggies.

Spread across five rooms in the hotel’s main building, the elegant dining room offers everything from hearty breakfasts to afternoon teas or silver carts of succulent Sunday roasts. For a more casual atmosphere, the Kitchen Restaurant features wood-fired pizzas and gourmet burgers on the menu. A glass wall located on the hotel grounds separates visitors from the new culinary school, which guests can also enroll in. Meanwhile, a healthy buffet is served at the spa’s café, where guests can eat in a bathrobe and slippers.

Situated next to Edinburgh Waverley Main Station on Princes Street East, the hotel is just five minutes’ walk from the National Gallery, shops and Old Town.

Built like a railroad hotel, this is a magnificent example of Victorian Renaissance architecture with sweeping staircases, classical columns and royal glazed stucco, complemented by designer Olga Polizzi’s calm contemporary interiors. You will be drawn to the domed Palm Court tea room (along with palm trees, frescoes and a harpist on the balcony).

The staff here are superb: room service, laundry, concierge, valet and shoe shine, and some newfangled “experiences” including a house poet. The well-equipped spa offers ESPA treatments, as well as a 15-meter pool, sauna, steam room and gym.

Large selection of rooms, 168 bedrooms and 20 suites. Classic rooms face the courtyard, so consider upgrading to an executive or deluxe room, or splurge on a superior deluxe room – practically a suite with a view of Princes Street gardens and the castle.

The room has a safe and mini bar (with health option), coffee maker, Scottish tea, great bathrobes and slippers in two sizes. The suites are magnificent – many with working fireplaces; The Bowes-Lyon Suite is the epitome of sophisticated charm.

This hotel is right across the border from Salford, yet only a five-minute walk from the city center via a Calatrava-designed bridge over the River Irwell. Exchange Square and its high-end shops, Spinningfields with several top-notch restaurants and attractions such as the Folk History Museum, John Ryland Library and Manchester Cathedral are within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

This modern hotel is elegant and luxurious, from the water-like glass reception to the sun terrace overlooking the Irwell (obviously the longest sun terrace in Manchester). Named after one of the city’s most famous artists, this hotel has a focus on the arts, from rotating exhibitions on the ground floor to photographs of musicians by Mancunian photographer Kevin Cummins on the gray corridor walls.

The staff is talkative but not intrusive. Accustomed to dealing with visiting celebrities and hosting special occasions, they came up with many thoughtful touches, such as a free non-alcoholic cocktail class for visiting kids, as well as a free teddy bear. The hotel has an Elemis SPA center with eight treatment rooms, a relaxation room and a sauna. By the way, order procedures in advance, as they are popular with both visitors and hotel guests. There is also a small gym and hairdresser’s.

Rooms are larger than the Manchester average and have floor-to-ceiling windows, built-in wardrobes and huge comfortable beds. The Deluxe and Superior rooms are exactly the same in size, decor and amenities, but the Superior rooms have a more inspiring river view.

All standard rooms have a shower over the bathtub, Elemis toiletries and fluffy bathrobes. Note the painting of two fishermen in the bathrooms, which is a detail of Lowry’s painting.

The River Restaurant and Bar is located on the first floor of the hotel. If it’s sunny, head to the terrace overlooking the river for a cocktail or a glass of champagne.

Breakfast offers a wide range of cold continental options, hot buffet options and cooked-to-order items.

Millions of pounds spent since the 1990s have turned the area into chic Cardiff Bay. Here you will find many restaurants, bars and cafes, the Welsh Millennium Center (for dance, music and drama) and Senedd, home to the National Assembly for Wales. The hotel is located eight minutes walk from its center, right at the water’s edge. A wetland sanctuary is in the neighborhood, where you can safely wander at sunset.

The staff are generally cheerful and helpful and know where to put you in Cardiff if you are looking for a party, a garden to explore or something delicious to eat. Many people stay at the spa, which starts at the pool (plus its own hot tub and hydrotherapy pool) and extends to 11 treatment rooms for skincare using Ishga organic products, a sauna and a large fitness center; various spa packages include use of facilities, treatments and a healthy lunch.

Restaurant Admiral positions itself as “Australasian”. The menu is almost entirely Southeast Asian with a slight Welsh accent (such as Pantysgawn goat cheese). Breakfast in the same place is pretty standard. The buffet offers hot dishes – sausages, scrambled eggs, bacon, as well as yogurts, pastries, cereals and more. Coffee and tea are served at the table, and some dishes are cooked to order, such as pita bread pancakes with bacon and poached eggs.

Built in 1889, this hotel has gone through a difficult time in recent history: it was forced to close in 2018 due to a serious fire, after a two-year renovation, not to mention the pandemic soon after. However, now it all seems like a distant memory, its position as one of the most luxurious places to live in London has long since been restored. Passing through the doors of the grandiose Edwardian building, you are greeted by multicolored marble almost to the horizon. Don’t forget to look at the ceiling.

With a hot tub, a decent-sized small sauna and steam room, and a high-tech relaxation room with adjustable beds, the sleek black spa is a real treat. The treatment is excellent, as you would expect.

The service throughout the hotel is exemplary, every staff member is attentive and willing to go the extra mile.

168 superbly comfortable rooms divided into three categories. There are also 26 suites. Pastel pink contemporary chairs pair elegantly with Art Deco touches in the bedside tables and mirrored cabinets. The technology is second to none: Japanese toilets, Dyson hair dryers, GHD straighteners, smart TVs and sockets hidden in bedside tables. Marble bathrooms are stocked with Diptyque toiletries, and suites come with perks such as a complimentary premium minibar (excluding alcoholic drinks).

Dinner is just as decadent as everything else here, starting with Heston Blumenthal’s two-Michelin star dinner. The concept here is his modern take on dishes from the rich history of British cuisine.

Lighter meals (hamburgers, salads, sandwiches, etc.) are served at Rosebery along with afternoon tea.

Breakfast is also served during dinner (you can enjoy views of the park in daylight) and the buffet is full of treats, including first-class pastries. The a la carte options are extensive.

Kensington High Street, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum are just a short walk away, and Kensington Gardens is just across the road. The Royal Albert Hall is so close (an eight-minute walk) that the hotel is a popular base for upscale performers.

Baglioni doesn’t do anything “understated”: it’s all-out Italian luxury shimmering with fresh orchids, throne-like leather chairs, oversized glass vases and gleaming marble floors.

From the outside, the hotel is a true London townhouse, with an immaculate red brick façade, stucco work and baskets of blooming flowers.

The staff are attentive but reserved and seem to be proud to work in this upscale location. The conditions are also good: in addition to Brunello, a bar and a restaurant, there is a spa offering treatments with Natura Bissé products, and a small 24-hour gym. The hotel concierge service is your hotline for booking tables, taxis, sightseeing tickets and more.

From monogrammed Baglioni slippers to starched cotton sheets, every inch of the hotel’s rooms and suites reflects its five-star status. There are 67 in total, and their proportions are large for the center of London: some even offer views of Kensington Gardens, and some of the more expensive rooms have fireplaces, seating areas and terraces. Black marble bathrooms – all with bathtubs – feel luxurious enough, while other quality touches include fresh flowers, coffee machines and great soundproofing.

Breakfast is à la carte and includes fresh juices, specialty teas, continental options and hot dishes, including 24-month-aged Italian Parmesan Frittatas.

It is in an excellent location in Piccadilly, overlooking Green Park and close to the Royal Academy of Arts. The West End, Regent Street and Soho theaters are within walking distance of the hotel. Also take the time to browse the wonderfully traditional shops on St. James Street, such as Lock & Co (hatters) and Berry Bros & Rudd (vintners).

The tone is set the moment you walk through the doors of the impressive lobby and find yourself in front of a supremely elegant gallery adorned with fresh flowers and a sherbet-hued palm patio where the hotel’s legendary afternoon teas take place. The Versailles-based dining room is an extraordinary setting with a painted ceiling, marble columns, floor-to-ceiling windows and chandeliers.

The fact that the head porter, the energetic Michael De Cozar, has been with the hotel for 46 years speaks for itself – tradition and theatrics are everything at the Ritz, and the staff is an integral part of the experience, whether pinny-clad maids or white-gloved bellboys. , bar staff in white jackets or waiters in tailcoats or tuxedos. On the seventh floor, there is a small gym and the Ritz salon with hairdresser Hiro Miyoshi and two treatment rooms (offering massages and facials).

Elsewhere, a newly opened Art Deco cigar shop where you can smoke cigars and have a drink, and downstairs (through a secret door if you’re in a hotel) you’ll find the supremely elegant Ritz Club Casino (formerly a ballroom hotel) with gaming tables, a restaurant and a bar. To add even more sparkle to your stay, you can rent a Rolls-Royce Phantom with a driver, but it will cost you £300 an hour.

The hotel has 136 rooms, including 23 suites, four of which are signature (such as the Royal Suite, spread over two floors), located next to the stylish wide corridors. Most are in the familiar Louis XVI style, with pastel hues of peach, yellow, rose and blue, and touches of gold leaf; each is lavishly furnished with antiques and thoughtful details such as vases of fruit (and an umbrella in the closet); the traditional style bathrooms are equipped with Asprey products. Rooms on the seventh floor have a more modern “apartment” feel with lower ceilings. For the best view of Green Park, choose one of the higher floors, and if you want to make the most of your room, order room service.

The Michelin-starred restaurant (jacket and tie required) under the direction of Chef John Williams really pairs the opulent setting with classic yet inventive British fare.

With Lalique glass paneling, gold leaf trim and jewel box style, the Rivoli Bar is the place for a cocktail, while the newly opened Secret Garden (can be found a roundabout way through the hotel) offers a delightful al fresco space (lit by candles at night) for dinner or drinks during the summer months.

Away from the Strand, behind its own forecourt (the only street in Britain where traffic must drive on the right), the hotel’s iconic Art Deco stainless steel sign topped by a golden statue of Peter II, Count of Savoy, whose palace once stood here, creates immediately enticing but exclusive atmosphere.

Every part of the Savoy has its own vibe, from the cheeky American bar first opened in 1893 and the oldest surviving cocktail bar in Britain, to the theater bar Beaufort and the magnificent Red Lift.

Facilities include a business center and wellness center with a swimming pool, sauna and steam room, a well-equipped gym and two treatment rooms. For those occupying suites, chauffeurs and butlers are at your service. Check out the tiny Savoy Museum with a brief history of the hotel and the Caravan Coffee Roasters at The Savoy (on the Strand).

There are few more special pleasures in staying in a suite at the Savoy Hotel overlooking the Thames. The panorama, especially at night, is beautiful, including the London Eye and Big Ben. The hotel has 265 rooms and suites.

Nespresso machines are standard, as is the ability to borrow a book from the book butler, and novels are chosen as the hotel’s literary ambassador with a majestic title. The suites have a free minibar, as well as chauffeur and butler service. Beautiful bathrooms with walk-in showers and roll-top bath tubs in suites and Penhaligon products.

The hotel’s Royal Suite has been reimagined as a reflection of the world of Gucci (incidentally, its founder worked as a luggage porter at the Savoy Hotel in his youth) with furniture from the Gucci Décor collection.

The franchise is owned by Gordon Ramsay. All three of the Savoy’s restaurants look as dependable and solid as the hotel itself, and each delivers exceptional food enjoyment, each with its own focus.

The hotel is located in the heart of Knightsbridge, in a very opulent setting that nevertheless lacks the character found elsewhere in London. If you’re looking for high-end shopping, the situation could hardly be better: Harrods is just around the corner, Harvey Nichols down the street and plenty of boutiques nearby. In addition to retail, Hyde Park is across the road and the West End can be quickly reached.

The building itself is less than ten years old, so architect-designer Antonio Citterio was left with a more or less blank canvas on which to create his vision for a new London iconic hotel.

In true Knightsbridge style, most of the Bulgari is underground, and many of the hotel’s amenities can be found on the hotel’s five underground floors. Chief among these is the SPA, an expansive yet cozy complex of massage rooms, saunas, steam baths and relaxation areas, complemented by a pool with sun loungers and a well-equipped gym with top-notch instructors. Here, underground, the hotel also has facilities for meetings and events (including a huge ballroom) and a cinema with 47 seats.

There is little difference between the 85 rooms and suites, other than a gradual increase in size from the already fairly large Superior category. Nespresso machines, minibars and TVs are standard, but upgrading to one of the suites comes with the added perk of butler service.

Spacious and luxurious bathrooms in all categories are finished in Marquina Black Marble and feature luxurious deep soaking tubs. Again, the upgrade has its perks: bathing in one of Bulgari’s signature suites gives you the ultimate pleasure of a separate steam shower.

Sette, the hotel’s only restaurant, is a sultry, modern ground floor space serving flavorful Italian cuisine with service to match.

Breakfast includes a continental buffet with a large selection of pastries, cereals and fruit, as well as a menu of standard but well-prepared items including poached eggs, avocado toast, scrambled eggs and a full English menu.

For a drink, head to Nolita Social, the hotel’s basement bar, a dark and secluded spot with a great cocktail menu and live music. Or choose Edward Sahakian’s cigar shop, which specializes in rare havanas.

Rural setting on an 800 acre estate on the Ayrshire coast, in an elevated position with magnificent views of the Firth of Clyde, the Isles of Arran and Ailsa Craig and the Kintyre Peninsula.

It is said that on a clear day you can see Ireland. The land has a royal heritage – the ruins of the castle of King Robert the Bruce lie not far from the coast. It is an hour from Glasgow Airport and half an hour from Prestwick Airport.

Richly carpeted corridors, leather armchairs, and gilded rosewood furniture create the feel of a large country home. The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable rather than stuffy and pretentious.

Golf is the main attraction with three links courses, notably the legendary Ailsa, which has hosted four British Opens, and a golf academy.

There is a well-equipped gym with personal trainers, archery, skeet shooting, horseback riding, quad biking, falconry, hunting and shooting at nearby estates, and miles of hiking and jogging trails.

The spa features a 25-meter glass-walled pool and panoramic hot tub, sauna, steam bath and ESPA treatment rooms. There are eight rooms for meetings and events, including a 500-seat ballroom.

The hotel has 198 rooms and suites, a complex of cottages and self-catering apartments, and a lighthouse. Discreet luxury is the theme of the spacious rooms, with 192 chandeliers, handmade mahogany beds, silk wallpaper, cream wool carpets and furniture with gold leaf details.

Marble bathrooms with gold decor have free-standing bathtubs and separate showers, and all rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, minibars, satellite TV, bathrobes and safes.

Local fishing boats and farmland produce much of the modern-style classic cuisine at the 1906 Signature Restaurant, named after the year the hotel opened.

The adjoining Tea Lounge & Bar offers an extensive daily and evening menu. Generous afternoon teas and Sunday brunches are hugely popular, and golf enthusiasts have a sumptuous dining room at the clubhouse serving a variety of meat and fish dishes.

Princes Street is ideal for shopping lovers, and many major tourist attractions are within walking distance (15 minutes) from the hotel.

A small but serious SPA center specializes in the luxury segment of the 111SKIN face and body treatments market. Developed by a Harley Street surgeon, they promise high performance with powerful ingredients. On the softer end of the spectrum is Irish brand Ground’s niche aromatherapy ritual, which uses 100% vegan ingredients to gently and sustainably promote balance and wellness.

Rooms ranging from classic to deluxe are tastefully decorated in soothing or stormy colors. The beds are great everywhere and there is the obligatory Nespresso machine.

The Pompadour Restaurant features delightfully dainty hand-painted wall panels, wedding cake moldings… and a fishing boat absurdly stuck in the corner, expressing Chef Dean Banks’ passion for seafood. Expect a multi-course tasting menu with vegan and pescatarian options.

Downstairs in Mark Greenaway’s Grazing is getting busier. The food is also perky, with an emphasis on bold seasonal flavors.

You’ll find an indulgent breakfast in Peacock Alley – the former station lobby – now a spectacular setting for cooked-to-order breakfasts, followed by coffees, cocktails and tiered afternoon teas. Later head to the railroad-themed Caley Bar for some whiskey.

Nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis, surrounded by a ring of high peaks (especially beautiful when covered in snow), this is a place of quiet beauty, with no hint that the bustling, bustling tourist town of Fort William is only a mile or two down the road. The drive through Glencoe and up the Great Glen is wonderful and one of the highlights of Scotland.

There is no reverence for passing fashion here. Keeping up with the times means waterfall showers, Bang & Olufsen stereos and TVs, while the unabashed country-house style of all the embellishments, gilding, silk and brocade, sparkling crystal, polished wood, and the pervasive sense of suspended time remains.

Anything is possible, including skiing, rafting, off-road driving, stalking or fishing. Have a picnic on a wildlife photography tour, go mountain biking, or take a hike in the hills. Or you can paddle around the beautiful lake and then have a whiskey in the billiard room or read by the fireplace in the living room. The clerk will clean and dry your boots and jacket, look after your laundry, and even de-ice your car.

There are 17 traditional oases of comfort, including three suites, traditionally furnished and immaculately maintained. Imagine the best stay – with luxurious bathrooms (fine Penhaligon toiletries), embroidered linens and all (unobtrusive) modern conveniences.

Dinner begins with a drink by the fire in the Great Hall, followed by a deliciously light five-course menu reminiscent of La Gavroche but with a distinct Highland accent. Taste the selected wines – the sommelier is dedicated to his work.

Order a cocktail of champagne and elderberry flowers and admire the sunsets (they are famous here); they turn pink at their peak until the river is the color of pink champagne and the clouds resemble its foam. Try to find time to explore the village of Lympstone, which is also the nearest train station (five minutes by taxi; connects to London via Exeter St Davids).

Michael did wonders with this vanilla-ice-colored Georgian mansion, bringing the firth-coloured dramatic interior into the interior: champagne-colored fabric sofas, powder-blue walls, thin sage-colored linen curtains, and quicksand-soft carpets woven with silver-gray thread. The hand-painted wallpaper features references to local birds, from kingfishers to sparrowhawks; rocking bird chairs in the lobby. The chandeliers are decorated with perspex icicles and brushed copper branches.

And the atmosphere? As intimate and exclusive as a private club, but without the wooden cladding or cloying atmosphere; instead of smoking cigars in 200-year-old leather chairs, people sip gin on the veranda.

Michael takes the time to greet newly arrived guests and is often seen pacing the halls in his signature white chef’s jumpsuit.

Rent one of the complimentary bikes or put on your rubber boots and make your way down to the estuary through the newly planted Lympstone orchard and primrose-strewn area.

Michael Keynes’s attention to detail is always present: silver trays with complimentary Williams gin and Fever Tree tonic and first-class hair straighteners in the wardrobe. Gorgeous bathrooms with satellite dish-sized bronze rain shower heads. Roll-top tubs with gold Victorian taps are standard; some suites have outdoor bathtubs and fireplace tables overlooking the river mouth.

The fact that Lympstone Manor received a Michelin star within six months of opening speaks for itself. Don’t miss the eight-course tasting dinner.

From every room, as well as from restaurants, bars and pools, you have a stunning view. An added bonus is the convenience of binoculars, from which you can survey the streets of London while lying in bed or in the bath. There’s something particularly thrilling about watching passengers cross bridges, construction workers climb high, and boats float down a river from your chosen bird’s eye view.

Plus, it’s a great starting point for exploring the Borough area and its markets right on your doorstep, and many of the capital’s key areas and attractions are within walking distance or a few metro stops away. London Bridge with tube and train station is a 3 minute walk away.

Sleek, contemporary design favors muted colors (like grays, beiges and whites) with marble floors or soft carpets, allowing views from floor-to-ceiling windows to always be the center of attention.

The service is especially friendly and the staff will be happy to answer questions and help with your stay. The Skypool, with views of the city below and an adjoining wooden sauna, is an eye-catcher. There is also a fully equipped gym and you can get treatments in converted hotel rooms. The specialists are highly qualified and offer wonderful treatments such as aromatherapy massage.

Each room has a different layout and size (even within the same category). Huge, ultra-comfortable beds with Frette linens overlook the windows; it’s worth setting an early alarm to raise the curtains and watch the city come alive. Artwork and Asian-inspired headboards complete the neutral design. The marble bathrooms, the best of which have freestanding bathtubs, feature rain showers, L’Occitane toiletries, underfloor heating and mirrored TVs.

There are also several outstanding suites (Southwark, London, Westminster and Shangri-La) that are sprawling in size with luxurious furnishings and telescopes. The latter comes with a separate dining area for up to 10 guests and can be an exciting setting for a gala dinner.

The restaurant’s menu consists of Asian dishes and changes regularly.
You’ll feel like you’re in Gong with a full bar and the twinkling lights of London. The breakfast buffet offers an impressive variety of pastries, hams, cheeses, bacon, sausages and much more you can expect. You can also order à la carte dishes such as pancakes and poached eggs.

Its location is very much a part of this place: the lush New Forest National Park in which the hotel is located can be seen, for example, from the windows of the spa. Brockenhurst station is about 15 minutes by taxi (trains depart from London Waterloo) and the same to beautiful Beaulieu.

This is a country hotel with class but with a lightness that doesn’t feel stuffy at all. A small Georgian main mansion – a buttercream color adorned with lilac wisteria – has been added and extended over the years, but it has been done delicately.

Classic décor such as black and white checkerboard floors and gilded frames and Regency proportions have been updated with some contemporary fixtures, whimsical patterns and contemporary color schemes, giving the place a glossy and classy sheen. The atrium bar is a great example of this – originally designed by Martin Brudnicki 10 years ago, it has spawned many imitators. There are books and works of art in abundance.

The landscaped grounds have ponds and plenty of seating under gazebos for late summer evenings.

Special additions to the hotel, such as a maternity pillow on the bed, showcase the attention to detail here.

The new forest is easy to explore right on your doorstep – rubber boots and Hunter bikes (for all ages) are provided, and staff can share suggested routes and maps. There is also the HH&Co Backstage Cooking School for those who wish to leave with further education. The gym overlooking the forest under the eaves of the Herb House SPA is so inviting that even the most exercise-inclined might consider a quick workout.

The Herb House SPA is the reason many people come here. This mall of indoor and outdoor hot pools surrounded by foliage is the perfect sanctuary for some zen-inducing relaxation.

In summer, the glass doors of the 16-meter swimming pool open onto a terrace where people relax on light green sun loungers with juices or champagne. In autumn and winter, the place to be is in the thermal room, whose full-length windows offer views of the treetops and envelop you in the surrounding countryside. Here you will find a sauna (with a large view of the forest) and a steam room, a tepidarium and another hot pool with jets. The beautiful rooftop herb garden offers peaceful contemplation. By the way, many herbs are used in treatment.

Well-known spa brands are featured on the menu – perhaps Sarah Chapman’s facials, VOYA seaweed wraps, or Bamford massages. For those after the reboot, classes are available with the star’s personal trainer Matt Roberts or consultations with nutritionist Amelia Freer.

Lime Wood has 33 bedrooms; 16 in the main house and 17 scattered in individual houses on the property. None of them are like the other, although all have a touch of designer Susie Atkinson’s rustic touch.
The detached lakeside hut is ideal for honeymooners, while the cottages and the woods hut are rustic in style, with wooden sofas, leather sofas and forest views. Raw and Cured is a cafe at the SPA center where delicious healthy food is waiting for you.

Breakfast is nothing less than a holiday. Guests can choose from a grazing buffet (muesli, pastries, toast, etc.) followed by a hot meal.

Of particular note is the room service menu, which includes lighter pastas and great salad options (such as orange, caper and shallot salad).
