Ravello is a place that has held the hearts of many writers, artists, poets and composers for centuries. This cozy and calm city is located at an altitude of 350 meters above the Amalfi Riviera. You will enjoy picturesque landscapes, see beautiful villas where Hollywood celebrities of the 50s and 60s stayed, walk along the charming streets and visit authentic craft workshops.
Ravello is considered the most beautiful city of the Amalfi Riviera. In 1996, it entered the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its location – in the rocks above the sea – reminds of an observation deck, framed by greenery and flowers. Here you can endlessly admire the Mediterranean Sea, neighboring Maiori and Minori, magnificent sunrises and sunsets.
It is not surprising that this corner of southern Italy won the hearts of sophisticated connoisseurs of beauty: Edvard Grieg, Greta Garbo, Sophia Loren, Tennessee Williams. During the walk you will visit the sun-drenched Villa Cimbrone. Take a stroll through its huge park – a favorite vacation spot for English lords. Take a look at the famous Villa Rufolo, its gardens and flower beds inspired Richard Wagner to create the opera Parsifal.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will go on a boat that will take you to Capri. The ferry goes directly from Amalfi to Capri, there you will be met by a guide who will give you a 5-hour tour.
The charming world of Capri welcomes guests with hundreds of bright colors: a string of colorful houses, a juicy palette of greenery and blue skies. For centuries, the island has attracted the attention of Roman emperors, writers, artists, revolutionaries, and just those whose soul was drawn to beauty. Lush Mediterranean nature is the hallmark of Capri. There are 850 species of flowers and plants growing on the island. And this stunning bouquet fills the atmosphere with amazing fragrance. Here you will see the famous Capri lemons and taste the delicious Limoncello liqueur.
Our tour will begin in Anacapri – the second most important settlement of the island. We will visit the exquisite villa “San Michele”. In 1896, its construction was initiated by the Swedish doctor Axel Münte, who wanted to strengthen ties between Sweden and Italy. Let’s take a look at the same-named church. We will climb by cableway to the highest point of the island – the top of Mount Solare (589 meters). We will admire the Bay of Naples from the observation deck: the Sorrentine Peninsula, Ischia, the Apennines. And then we will go to the city of Capri – the capital of the island. Let’s take a walk along Piazza Umberto I, where the heart of local social life beats.
We will visit the magnificent Gardens of Augustus. This pine park is located near the historic center of Capri. Its observation platform offers a majestic view of the sea horizons. And in one of the alleys stands the stele of Vladimir Lenin with the signature “Lenin – Capri.” The author of the monument is the Lombard sculptor Giacomo Manzu. The next point of the program will be Via Krupp – a narrow pedestrian road with a panoramic view. From the steep cape along which it meanders, a view of the turquoise sea and the breathtaking landscapes of the island opens up. You will also have a journey through the medieval streets of the city, ancient churches and monasteries.
Breakfast, check-out from the hotel, transfer to Naples. At 8 am, a car will pick you up and take you on a tour of Pompeii.
Pompeii is a city that has risen from the dead and attracts millions of tourists every year. During the tour you will go back 2,000 years in time, feel the atmosphere and emotions of the ancient inhabitants of this legendary city, see the fabulously beautiful frescoes and mosaics in the domus and residences of ancient Roman aristocrats, the gladiator barracks, theaters, bakeries and even the antique street food Thermopolium, the main Forum Square, temples, and even plaster casts of the victims of Vesuvius. Walking along the ancient stone streets, you will be shown the most secret and hidden corners of Pompeii, told about the life and traditions, studies and politics of this people. The territory of the city occupies more than 66 hectares, so the guide will help you see the maximum in a minimum of time.
Then you will go to lunch in Naples and you will be driven to the airport.
Departure at 16:20.
